Does your visa have a ‘no further stay’ condition on it?
The effect of this condition is that you cannot make an application for another visa from within Australia. It will be invalid and returned back to you as if you never made the application.
You can apply to have this condition waived.
To do this, you must apply to the Minister in writing to have the condition waived.
This is not as simple as writing a letter to the Minister and pleading your case.
You must establish that since your visa was granted, compelling and compassionate circumstances have developed over which you had no control, that resulted in a major change to your circumstances.
