Parabéns! Portugal and Australia have signed a reciprocal Work and Holiday visa arrangement

October 2, 2014 by Rosie Acutt

On 25 September 2014, Australia and Portugal signed a reciprocal Work and Holiday visa arrangement.

This is great news for Portuguese and Australian young adults who wish to travel in each other’s countries for an extended period of time and supplement their income along the way.

Be aware that there are limited places available, with only 200 visas being issued for each country per programme year. No start date has yet been determined, however we will let you know when further information is to hand.

The Work and Holiday program allows certain persons aged
18–30 years to work and holiday in Australia for up to 12 months. It is a criteria of this visa that you have enough money to support yourself on a working holiday (about AUD 5000) and to buy a return or onward travel ticket at the end of your stay. In addition, you must meet certain educational and English requirements. For more information, why not contact us? We’d love to help you.
